God’s Plan of Salvation

Experiencing Eternal Life

Anyone can experience eternal life in Jesus Christ.  He desires to be your Savior and Lord. Although it cost God His One and Only Son to satisfy the sentence for your crimes, you may experience eternal life in Christ.  Whoever believes in the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved but this belief is more than just a mental or intellectual idea.  It is a total trust in what Jesus came and did for your eternal life.

First, you must admit you have a problem called SIN by confessing and repenting.

Sin is anything that violates God’s commands contained in the Bible.  These crimes separate you from His perfect presence.  His holiness cannot tolerate any sin or evil.  All of us have violated his commands, we all are guilty of crimes against God.

  • Confess to God you are a sinner.  Own all the wrongs and selfish things you have done, said or thought.  Any self-invented ideas about heaven or God need to be renounced too.  God makes the rules, not us.  We must admit we have no good in us.
  • Repent and turn away from your sins.
    • Romans 3:23 – for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
    • Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
    • 1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
    • Acts 3:19 – Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

Believe God’s answer for SIN is Christ’s death on the cross.

Trust that Jesus is God’s Son and that God sent Him to save people from their sins.

  • Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
  • Acts 4:12 – There is no salvation in any other person, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
  • Acts 16:31 – So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
  • John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
  • John 4:6 – Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.

Commit to trusting Jesus for the rest of your life on earth.

Faith in Jesus Christ produces changes in our behavior, attitudes, and perspectives of life.  The Bible tells us that our faith grants us the privilege of eternal life in heaven but it also instructs us on how to live out that faith.  Our souls are changed but our minds and bodies need continued reworking to think and act like Jesus did.  This is where the commitment part comes to play.

  • Romans 10:13 – For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
  • Romans 10:9-10 – 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
  • Matthew 16:24 – Take Up the Cross and Follow Him
  • Luke 9:23 – Take Up the Cross and Follow Him
  • Romans 6:1-12 – Our lives are buried with Christ and then raised with Christ.  This means we no longer seek to do what we have always done.  We have died to sin.  Now we live to be like Christ.  We must put to death the old habits and sins that recur in our hearts and actions.

If you are convinced that you want Jesus to be your Savior, we would love to talk to you about this event in your life.  Please come to the church office or to one of our meetings and talk to our pastor.

This event is too important to keep to yourself.  Come join a group of people who have experienced the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.
